Giselle Mejia (Curio Dance) began learning traditional dances of Latin America from her father, the “Salsa King”. She continued her dance training at Larkin Dance Studio and earned her BFA from SUNY Purchase College in New York with a continued concentration on classical ballet and modern dance techniques. She has been privileged to travel to Spain, South America, China and Russia to perform in Principal Theaters and study with National Dance Companies. Giselle now resides in her native land of Minnesota as a teaching artist with the Minnesota Shubert, Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts, Fluid Dance Convention, and multiple dance studios. In 2009 she co-founded Curio Dance to fulfil her purpose as a dancer and choreographer.
